IPES-Food was launched and granted initial funding by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation (DNCF), a philanthropic foundation based in Paris with a strong interest in sustainable food systems and diets. The Foundation’s funding and research strategy in this field is informed by the experts on its International Sustainable Food Systems and Diets Scientific Committee.

A Contact Group of Partners will be formed to create a structured interface between IPES-Food and the organizations supporting the initiative. This includes DNCF and other potential donors, as well as  strategic partners such as foundations, non-governmental organizations or intergovernmental organizations with whom extensive collaboration is envisaged and goals are broadly aligned.
