Timothy joined IPES-Food in August 2018 to support the panel’s communication and dissemination activities.
Timothy is a social worker and writer who has worked in the non-profit sector since 2010. From 2010-2015 he worked with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC where he coordinated the content of major programs and conferences including Food As Medicine among others. In 2015 he moved to Brussels, Belgium and has worked with Pestide Action Network Europe and with Health Care Without Harm Europe.
His diverse interest in sustainable agriculture comes from growing up on a rural cattle farm; from having worked with New Orleans Food and Farm Network in the rebuilding of food systems in the wake of Hurricane Katrina; from working with major hospital systems to source and promote sustainable food; and from his exposure to the clinical impact of healthy food choices via clinical social work.
Timothy holds a MA in Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans and a B.A. from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
