Francesco Ajena joined IPES-Food in October 2017 to support the panel’s project, “Towards a Common Food Policy for the EU”.
Francesco is a political scientist specialised in agroecology and sustainable agricultural systems. From 2015 to 2017, he worked for the European Green Party where he contributed on the Greens position for the Post-2020 CAP reform. Previously, Francesco has held internships with Amnesty International and the European Coordination of La Via Campesina.
Francesco holds an MA in European Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and an MA in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from the Universidad de Pinar del Río, Cuba.
